Like the UK, America has seen some challenging times and this is directly reflected in the housing market today. There are many foreclosures and some areas are still facing further reductions in property values, but America is a strong and resilient country with the ability to bounce back from such economic problems.
We have spent a considerable time looking at the US and we now appreciate how large it really is. What this means is that while some places have homes which are still dropping in value, others are now beginning to rise and surprisingly, certain places don’t seem to have been affected at all by the property crash.
From our extensive due diligence, we have been able to find strong areas with excellent growth potential, who’s values have been affected by the crash. This means we can find highly discounted investment property which we feel will increase in value, while giving a great rental income as well.
We have found different areas which can provide different types of investments that will meet varying strategy requirements. Some are more focused on growth potential, where others have greater focus on income. We also see the recovery already beginning in our selected locations, but the time-scales for these will differ as each will have their own micro-economy which will stabilise based on local factors.
One thing that we see equally across all of our US locations though, is that the time to invest in property is now. The housing prices are the lowest they have been in a generation and may never be at this point again, which is why so many investors all over the world are taking advantage of this golden opportunity to get a foothold in one of worlds strongest economies.
